Obscuring Translations

The phrase 'Son of God', can mean many things. To learn what Jesus understood by the word son in 'son of God', we should consider how He and His apostles used the term son generally. Unfortunately, although the word son appears often in the bible, it is never translated as 'son' except when a physical child is meant. So unless you know the original language, the word 'son' in 'son of God' will be seen through the present English usage of a physical child, and not in the spiritual Jewish usage of the times.
